Casting the Light Workshop

In-Person workshop:  September 18th 10 AM at Terry Beads and Jewelry in King George VA

I believe we are lead down different paths during our life for a reason.  Each path holds new enlightenments, lessons, people, etc.  Some paths can become dark and scary.  It is on these paths that we are challenged to find the light and bring it out with us.  This light then shines the way to our next path that will be a step above because we are deserving of it.  So when you find yourself in the shadows and your hurting or feel alone, remember to search for the light and bring it out with you because each dark path gets us that much closer to enlightenment.

    The Raven brings magic and healing to our lives.  People who can associate with Raven can expect paths of change and spiritual awareness throughout life.  Raven can show you how to go  into the dark areas within yourself and illuminate them, bringing out your true self.  Don't be  afraid if Raven comes into your life.  He is there to show you magic, healing, teachings and light.  Great changes are coming; take your thoughts and make them reality.

Llama Mamma Necklace Workshop

Please join me for this special workshop celebrating the Llama!
Llama comes into our life to show us that hard work and perseverance can bring positive results.  Llama reminds us to focus on our personal growth and not just on everyone else in our lives...we have strength and should trust in our journey.

This Llama rests in the grass as the sun comes up over the mountains.

In this workshop, you will create your own beaded Lama. We will splice ultra suede and cork together and create fun, removable fringe.  You will receive choices for the Llama's "saddle cloth", an artwork template, and necklace templates. It also has Swarovski cup chain, Preciosa banding and a Swarovski crystal as the "sun".  All beads, materials, and components come with the kit; you only need your own needle, thread, glue and tools.  Please note the chain for the necklace will be the same style but in a matte gold (not the antique brass shown).  As soon as my chain supply comes in, I will update the picture.  Coming soon, a Llama bag workshop and cuff kit to compliment your Llama necklace.

In this workshop we will create a beautiful Mermaid with shibori silk tail and the sparkling beach she's gazing upon.  The necklace is based on cork and has an ultra suede backing.  It has a Studio St. James sand dollar, freshwater pearls and Swarovski pearls.  It comes with a red starfish and a bronze starfish so you can choose which one to adorn her hair with.  Your kit also includes a pre-cut necklace template and Mermaid artwork.

You will need:  scissors, glue, and your preferred needles (I recommend including size 12 needle in your stash because we will be using some charlottes in the design).  You will also need colored markers or patinas and a paintbrush.  Patinas: verdigris and bronze (I used Vintaj patinas to color the edges of my Mermaid's tail - available on Amazon).  Note: Shibori silk is hand dyed and has color variations in it.

Sierra Neck Piece was born when I created a beaded resin skull.  I like the design so much I decided I wanted a necklace similar to it.

The skull is hand carved ox bone.  You will need black onyx patina if you want to darken the horns as I did.  A gloss sealer is also recommended; both can be purchased on Amazon (Vintaj brand). There are beautiful pink coral beads for the flower centers.  The Red Jasper focal may be slightly larger than the one pictured.  The necklace comes with dagger fringe and a hand painted brass feather.  The super long faux suede fringe kit is sold separately; it has beautiful red Picasso beads and Tibetan brass beads.  Kits will be mailed in early May.  Zoom info will be sent the week prior to the workshop.

We will create a beautiful Sea Turtle with raised bead embroidery fins, Swarovski  Volcano Cab, and Jasper head.  The ocean scene is set with Abalone, starfish, sea weed and Ginko fishies!  Removable branch fringe and Silk velvet wrapped cork cord complete the look.  Charm for chain may vary.
